It starts with a dream, then goals follow, a step is taken, perseverance, hard work, professionalism and drive provide for momentum and an accomplishment arrives.

WMI Graduate Scholar Thomas Sevorszi knows this process well. As the founder and CEO of Vasco Consult Limited in Ghana, Thomas has continued to deepen his knowledge, participate and network in an array of workshops throughout the region, driving his company to continue reaching new levels of success.

This May, Thomas was selected as an entrepreneur to receive training at an Invest in Africa flagship workshop entitled Business Linkage Programme. During the six-day training hosted in Accra, the content focused on distinct entrepreneurial behaviors that are usually exhibited by successful entrepreneurs.  Ten personal entrepreneurial competencies were examined through case studies, exercises and knowledge sharing.  Participants developed strategies to adopt these successful behaviors within their own businesses.

Following the six-day workshop in Accra, Vasco Consult Limited was alerted that they had won a contract to work with Canon in developing a local printing business model they had developed! Through the business partnership with Canon, Vasco Consult Limited will have employees trained and be provided with printing equipment to further expand their business services.
Thomas reports, “I am happy my printing press business will be realized through this initiative! I am encouraged by the training and hope for better days ahead for Vasco Consult Limited.”
